Dobu (ドブ, Dobu) is a character in Odd Taxi. He is a 39-year-old baboon member of the yakuza.

Biography

Dobu is a thug and his fighting strength is comparable to that of a professional fighter. His principle of action is basically the desire for money. He is Kuroda's subordinate.

In episode 12 it is finally revealed that Dobu is indeed the person behind the handle name ditch-11, who used a Donraku eraser to scam Tanaka and who has the #1 ranking in Zooden. In episode 13 it is revealed that he's actually human, and that Odokawa's visual agnosia caused him to perceive everyone as animals. Human Dobu Trivia Dobu (どぶ) is an alternative reading of the kanji 溝, which means ditch. The official guide book reveals his full name is Kyouhei Mizoguchi (溝口恭平, Mizoguchi Kyouhei), which includes the aforementioned kanji 溝 for ditch.
